Where Am I from by Anonymous

I am from crabapple trees and pinon,

Changing like the cottonwood trees.

Stuck to the earth by roots,

Isolated in the desert.

I am from green and yellow grass,

To the dirt of the path.

Eyes the color of wood,

Rooted along the river.

I

am from stubborn pine trees,

Wasting away sedentary.

I am from Lotus flowers,

Motionless on a koi pond

To the maple leaves

That change season
